ibp academy has won a 2006 UK National Training Award in
partnership with Scottish Enterprise. At the recent awards
ceremony in Glasgow, both partners were presented with a "Golden
Ticket" to the UK National Training Awards Ceremony in London on
December 14th. One of only 3 UK NTAs awarded this year in Scotland,
the award recognised the success of the Premier Adviser programme,
an initiative which has been benchmarking the competence of
Scottish Enterprise business advisers for the last five years.
Since the programme's inception, nearly 700 advisers have attained
the Premier Adviser accreditation and the ILM Diploma in Business
Advice and Counselling.

ibp academy also won a Scottish National Training Award at the same
ceremony for the development of an ILM certificated Lean Management
programme with partners, Ross International.

ibp academy has recently joined forces with executive coaching
specialists, ChangeMasters and Reid Macewen Training and Conference
Centre, Erskine Hospital, to launch the Centre for Dynamic
Leadership. Building on the success of the New Leader suite of
programmes, the Centre will act as a hub for dynamic leadership
thinking in the West of Scotland and beyond. Aimed at leaders at
all levels of seniority and experience, the Centre offers
leadership development activities focused not just on individual
development, but the creation of tangible bottom line results for
their organisation. The Centre will be formally launched on January
23rd 2007.

The Raising Our Game programme, until recently delivered under the
flag of the North West Regional Development Agency, now has a new
home with the Academy for Sustainable Communities. Originally
designed to develop the competence of economic development
professionals in the Northwest of England, the programme has been
further developed to cater for the CPD needs of practitioners
working within regeneration and sustainable communities. Its
competency framework has also been expanded to link directly to the
recommendations of the Egan Review. ibp academy, the programme
delivery team are currently working with ASC and ILM to develop and
pilot a groundbreaking Certificate in Leading Sustainable
Communities linked to the National Qualfications Framework.
