  • Gain formal validation of their competence

Duration:
6 months
 
Programme structure:
There are two routes – Taught and Case Study

The taught programme consists of the following elements:-

  • Induction workshop
  • 2 x 1 day workshops
  • Monthly action learning/networking sessions
  • Mentoring support
  • Online learning
      The Case Study programme consists of the following elements:
    • Completion of workbased learning, based on two cases within current caseload
    • Demonstration of CPD 

    Assessment:

    Taught route - learners are assessed through:-

  • Workplace based assignments (2)
  • Panel interview
      Case Study route – learners are assessed through:-
    • Submission of two case studies
      Two observations

    Other information:
    The monthly action learning/networking sessions can be accessed through internet based video technology. This is particularly suited to advisers working in remote locations.

    Progression routes:
    Completion of the ILM Introductory Diploma in Business Advice & Counselling can provide exemption from certain elements of the ILM Diploma in Business Advice & Counselling, subject to time restrictions.
