Entry requirements:
There are no formal academic entry requirements.

Duration:
Normally 12 months
 
Programme structure:
The programme consists of the following elements:-

  • Induction workshop
  • 4 x 1 day workshops
  • Extended learning experience / best practice visit
  • Monthly action learning/networking sessions
  • Mentoring support
  • Online learning

Learners are assessed through:-

  • Workplace based assignments (4)
  • Written case studies (2)
  • Observed capability appraisals (2)
  • Panel interview

Other information:
All learners gain free studying membership of ILM for one year. This provides access to a wide range of online resources including reading lists, study guides, suggested websites for further research and other tailored resources to help participants complete their programme successfully.
 
Progression routes:
Completion of the ILM Diploma in Business Advice & Counselling provides 90 credits towards the MSc. Enterprise at Edinburgh Napier University.
