Qualification:
ILM Certificate in Leading Rapid Improvement

Suitable for:
Practising and aspiring senior managers and Business Improvement Facilitators who wish to:-

  • Develop the ability to plan, deliver, manage and evaluate rapid improvement events and strategies.

Entry requirements:
There are no formal entry requirements but participants will normally be practising or aspiring senior
Managers, or business improvement facilitators, with the opportunity to meet the assessment demands.  They will have a background and personal characteristics that will enable them to benefit from the programme

Duration:
6-12 months

Programme structure:
The programme consists of the following elements:-

  • Induction workshop
  • Skills development workshops
  • Best practice visits
  • Supervised practical delivery
  • Mentoring support.

Assessment:
Depending on the qualification being followed, learners are assessed through a combination of:-

  • Personal Development Plan
  • Reflective diaries
  • Case study
  • Supervised delivery of complex Work-based assignments
  • Presentations.

Other information:
All learners are entitled to trial membership of ILM for six months. This provides access to a wide range of online resources including reading lists, study guides, suggested websites for further research and other tailored resources to help participants complete their programme successfully.

Progression routes:
On completion of the training participants will be able to facilitate Rapid Improvement Events in their own organisation.

Completion of the ILM Certificate in Leading Rapid Improvement provides 60 credits towards the Postgraduate Diploma in Leading Rapid Improvement at Edinburgh Napier University.
