Armed Forces ELCAS Training
ibp academy has been helping people and organisations become leaders in their field since 1996.
Military personnel are, in our experience, some of the most highly effective leaders and managers that we work with. However, sometimes Services training and experience does not translate easily into recognised qualifications in the civilian job market, which is why we have developed a unique approach for serving members of the Armed Forces and veterans.
Accreditation of Prior Learning (APL)
In partnership with the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM), we have developed a route to help open up qualifications and progression routes to people who have gained a great through experience and training but whose qualifications have not necessarily kept pace with their personal development. It is a great way to get civilian recognition for your career achievements and update your CV in preparation for the resettlement process. It is also a highly cost effective way to gain a qualification. Typically, cost savings range from 60% to 80% of our full ILM programme costs.
ILM courses
We also offer a number of ILM accredited leadership and management programmes, most of which are now available either online with tutor support or by distance learning with coaching support. This means that study can happen at home or overseas. All have been designed to have a practical, work based focus, and encourage participants to reflect on their achievements and set themselves objectives on a month by month basis. Funding support may be available dependent upon eligibility. ibp academy is a preferred supplier to the Career Transition Partnership and an ELCAS approved training provider. Our provider number is 4115.
BA Business & Enterprise
ibp academy has also collaborated with Edinburgh Napier Business School to offer Accelerated entry (Year 3) to the BA in Business and Enterprise to military personnel who have achieved an ILM Level 5 Certificate in Leadership & Management or Level 4 S/NVQ in Management (or equivalent).
Our credentials
ibp academy has been an ILM accredited centre for nearly 15 years. We were also one of the first training providers in the UK to have been accredited against IS09001:2008.
We are now one of the largest ILM centres in the UK and have a strong track record of developing new qualifications under their guidance.
We also work with our academic partner, Edinburgh Napier University Business School to offer practical, workbased learning programmes that allow participants to gain a degree, either at undergraduate or postgraduate level.
Over the last 10 years, the success of our programmes and learners has been recognised through the award of a number of National Training Awards, most recently in 2007 (UK NTA) and 2008 (Scottish NTA).
